I install StorePortal 2.4.2 in Windows 2000 Server (IIS 5.0 DotNet Framework 1.0) and MDaemon mail server in the same machine. I get problem when someone register as new user, the portal doesn't send the confirmation email to user email address. I have try 'Auto Detect' and the result is 'CDO Windows 2003', but the portal still can't send email, event I have change with others. What's wrong with my configuration ?

If you use Windows 2000, you can use Jmail (external mail sender) from Dimac http://www.dimac.net . It is great and stable web mail gateway. You can use also CDO Mail, component installed with IIS Smtp. CDO 2003 is enabled only on Windows 2003 Server.

I had the same problem on windows 2003 server,

both CDO Windows 2003, and Persits ASPEmail produced an error communicating with my Mdaemon mailserver. But Jmail worked fine so I didn't make any fuzz about it and used Jmail.
