I have installed StorePortal on a Windows 2003 server.
Configured it according to the setup steps.

But when i come to step 4 ( approaching the storeportal)
i get the message Page not found.

What am i doing wrong ?

I have tried to giving maximum permissions on the directory to everybody so i am pretty sure it is not a permissions problem.

If you installed in the root folder of your web server try to remove the application name in options for your root folder and click apply.
Then apply a new application name, this worked for me.

Your problem can be caused from:

1) If you have put incorrect "Registration URL" during first startup of portal.

Solution: Open Manually database and table "Impostazioni", in this table you find field named "URL Registrered" change the value in your used web address.

2) If you have installed Store Portal in subforlder. Not is allowed !!! Store Portal work only on c:\inetpub\wwwroot directory or primary address not in subfolder.

You can install it also in other folder but NOT in subfolder.

Ok. It is possible that you not have configured your IIS for the :

d:\inetpub\www.myportal

directory. You need to add a new web server in IIS Administrator and setup your DNS Server for resolve the name.

OR, if all is correct control the setting of the new web server if homepage is default.asp.

404 page not found tell, you what is the problem. You can control also the URL in your browser when this error is displayed.

If you use public web address please send me URL and i look it.
